Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
This world is filled with broken hearts, broken bodies, and broken spirits.
Do you experience days when your body hurts or your heart aches, or you feel as if
God is far away? Do you experience days when you think: “If God really loves me, why am I hurting so much? Why doesn’t God take the hurt away?”
We often expect God to be “Mr. Fix-it” and fix every part of our lives. We expect God to repair every crack, every chip, and every dent in our lives that causes us pain and sadness. God never promised to fix all of the “broken” things we experience.
However, In Hebrew 13:5 God promises, “I will never leave you; I will never run away from you.” God will always be with us. He will always comfort us when we are hurting.
God has also promised, in 2 Corinthians 12:8, “My grace is all you need. Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power.” God will always give us the power, strength, and help we need to overcome the broken things in our lives.
If your body, heart, or soul is hurting and broken, trust God to be with you, to comfort you, and to help you overcome the pain.
Let’s pray. Heavenly Father, help me overcome the pain of the brokenness in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
