Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 2:15
Does God expect us to be tolerant of other people’s beliefs?
Not if they go against what God teaches in his Word. There are some truths in God’s

Word that God says are absolutely true absolutely all of the time. They never change or vary and God doesn’t tolerate attempts to change or very them. A few of these unalterable truths are:
* We are to love other people as we love ourselves (Leviticus 19:18).
* We are to love and pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:44).
* God should be the most important person in our lives (Exodus 20:2, 3).
* Everyone has sinned (Romans 3:23).
* Everyone needs to be saved and have his sins forgiven (Romans 6:23).
* Jesus is the only way to heaven (John 14:6).
* God is wiser that we are and always knows what is best for us (1 Corinthians 1:25).
We should be prepared to explain and defend the truths found in God’s word whenever the opportunity arises. That’s what Paul taught in 2 Timothy 2:15 which says, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
I hope we always treat other people with love, even when their views disagree with God’s truth. I hope we will be prepared to gently, lovingly try to help them understand what the real truth is – God’s truth.
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to stand firm in the truth of Your Word even when others question it. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
