Psalm 118:20 tells us about a special gate. This verse reads, “This is the gate of the LORD through which the righteous may enter.” This gate is the gate that leads to salvation

and eternal life in heaven.
There is only one gate to heaven and only one way to enter that gate – faith in Jesus Christ and accepting His death as the punishment for your sin. Jesus, Himself said in John 10:9, “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.”
There are many ways to start a conversation and tell people about this gate. Here is a list of 10 “gate openers” that you can use to get your friends thinking about Jesus and their need for him.
* Give your friends “God loves you” bookmarks or bookcovers.
* Ask your friends, “Who do you believe Jesus is?”
* Ask your friends, “What does WWJD mean to you?”
* Start a Bible study group at school.
* Start a prayer group at school.
* Carry your Bible at school.
* Share the CD’s of your favorite Christian musicians with your friends.
* Decorate your bookcovers or notebook with Bible verses.
* Pray in the cafeteria at lunch.
* Invite your friends to your house after school to study and pray before you begin.
Once the gate is opened, remember to pray that your friends will be willing to learn about Jesus and walk through the gate to heaven by accepting Jesus as their Savior.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13 & 14
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to open the gate to salvation so that my friends can walk through. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
