Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 30:11-19
In Deuteronomy 30, Moses pointed out to the Israelites all of the choices that God had given them. He told the Israelites that they must choose to...
* Obey God or disobey God.
* Serve God wholeheartedly or serve God halfheartedly.
* Listen to God or listen to God’s enemies.
* Love God or hate God.
* Prosper or become destitute.
* Receive blessings or receive curses.
* Live or die.
Then, in verse 19 Moses told them, “This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”
God has given each of us these same choices. He won’t make our decision for us. No one else can make choose for us. Each one of us needs to make our own choice.
What will you choose?
“So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.” Galatians 5:16 &17
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I choose to obey, serve, listen to and love only you. I also choose the prosperity, blessings, and eternal life that go along with that. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
