Bible Reading: Genesis 6:22
Is there something that you believe that God wants you to do, but you are nervous about attempting? Maybe you are worried about what other people will think. Maybe you
aren’t sure where the money to do that job would come from. Maybe you aren’t sure if you are capable of doing that job.
God gave Noah one of those kinds of jobs – building a huge ark, miles from the nearest body of water. He may have wondered if his neighbors thought that he was crazy. He may have wondered how he would pay for such a huge project. He may have wondered how he was supposed to get that huge boat to the sea. He may have questioned his own shipbuilding abilities. After all, he’d never built a boat before!
Genesis 6:22 says, “Noah did everything just as God commanded him.” Even with whatever questions or doubts Noah had, he knew what God expected him to do – and he did it.
Now it’s your turn. Take a step forward in faith. Ask God what He wants you to do then go for it!
“Jesus replied, ‘If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.’” John 14:23
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to always obey You and do what You want me to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
