Bible Reading: Psalm 100:2

“Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. (KJV)

God has a job for you to do. How can you know what it is?

Psalm 100:2 gives us the answer saying, “Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.”

Here’s a tool to help you find ways to worship the Lord with gladness:

Start by thinking about what you enjoy doing. Make a list of all of the things that you like to do.

Next, think about what you are good at. Make a list of the skills and talents that you have.

Don’t leave anything out of your lists even if it seems silly or unimportant.

When you have finished your lists read them through carefully. God gave you those likes and talents. Even if they seem silly or unimportant, God has a use for them. He gave them to you because he expected you to use them to serve him – and he wants you to enjoy doing it.

Pray about what you have written. Ask God to show you how he wants you to use those likes and talents.

Serving God can be fun.

“Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.” Psalm 29:2

Prayer: Heavenly Father, fill me with joy as I serve You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
