Bible Reading: Hebrews 13:8
The focus of the New Age movement is self – you decide what is right for you and I decide what is right for me. No one has the right to say that either of us is wrong. Each
one of us is his own master, his own god.
By contrast, the Bible states that we have only one master and God – Jesus Christ. This truth, like God, Himself, never changes, just as it says in Hebrews 13:8 – “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Being a Christian means giving up self. Being a Christian means giving Christ the position of Master and God in our lives. Being a Christian means that we stop trying to decide for ourselves what is right and wrong and accept that what God says in the Bible is the absolute, unchangeable truth, because God is unchanging and unchangeable.
The truth is, God is the only God. We are answerable to him and he decides who and what is right and wrong.
Are you living for the unchanging, unchangeable God or are you still living for yourself?
