Bible Reading: Romans 5:8-10
Salvation isn’t a “one-man job.” Salvation is a three-part job. It starts with the truth in Romans 5:8 which says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were
still sinners, Christ died for us." Salvation takes God the Father, Jesus Christ, and each one of us to complete the job, each doing his own part of the job.
* God’s job was to love us and give His Son to die for us.
* Christ’s job was to give up all of His power and glory, to die for us, then to be raised to life again to give us new, eternal life.
* Our job is to go to God, ask His forgiveness, and accept the love He offers and go to Christ and willing accept the freedom from our sins that He offers.
God did his job.
Christ did his job.
Have you done your job?
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for doing Your job and sending Jesus to die in my place. Now I want to do my part by asking Your forgiveness and asking Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
