“The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’
They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.’”
- Acts 16:29-31
Paul was in jail. There was an earthquake. All of the chains holding the prisoners burst open. The prisoners, including Paul, could have escaped, but they stayed. As a result, the jailer and his entire family came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
How often to we choose to run from a challenging situation or simply decide to do what makes us feel comfortable rather than staying in the place where God has put us?
Perhaps, if we had chosen to stay put, God would have used us to lead another person – or an entire family – into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
That is something to think about. That is the reminder I got as I worked on this Digi-Journal entry. I hope this artwork will encourage and remind you to stand firm and faithful wherever God has placed you.
