Be a Team Player

Bible Reading: Mark 2:15

In Mark 2:15 we read, “While Jesus was having dinner at Levi's [Matthew’s] house, many tax collectors and ‘sinners’ were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who

followed him.”

What a great idea! Matthew believed in Jesus and let Jesus take control of his life. Then Matthew threw a dinner party to introduce his unsaved friends to Jesus!

Does the thought of trying to do everything that would be involved in getting your unsaved friends together for a party to share Jesus with them seem overwhelming? You don’t have to do it by yourself. Make a plan with a group of other Christian friends to work together to reach you unsaved friends for Christ. If you are a team player, your party and be a team-building event as well as an opportunity to share Jesus.

Each one of you should do whatever it is that you do best. One person can be the organizer. Another can make up invitations. Another can make snacks. The conversationalist in the group can help guide conversation toward Jesus.

If each of you plays the position that you play best, you will be a winning team for Jesus!

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work.” Ecclesiastes 4:9

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help us pull together to win our friends to Jesus. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
