Escape Route

Bible Reading: Acts 16:31

Would you know what to do if your house was on fire? Do you have an escape route planned?

When it comes to fire safety, we all know the importance of planning a way of escape. We know that if we don’t have a way out of a burning building, we will probably die.

An eternity spent in hell away from God will be worse than being trapped in any fire that you could imagine. On our own we are trapped in our sin, unable to escape from the flames of hell.

However, God has planned an escape route for us. Acts 16:31 explains this escape route saying, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” If we will just follow this plan, we can be freed forever from the trap of sin and hell. That escape route is Jesus.

Like John says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Have you taken advantage of God’s escape route?

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for planning my escape route from sin and hell. I want to use it right now. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
