Growing Faith

Bible Reading: Hebrews 10:24

The writer of Hebrews 10:24 gives us some sound advice saying, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”

It is important that we take time to nurture our own spiritual growth by praying, reading the Bible, memorizing scripture, and attending worship and Bible study.

It is also important that we take time to help nurture the spiritual growth of our friends and family. God expects us to help each other grow in faith.

How can we invest in the spiritual growth of those around us?

Pray for them. Pray with them. Read and study the Bible with them. Offer them a ride to worship, Bible, study, or youth group activities. Tell them about the things God has done for you.

Probably the best way to help your friends’ faith grow is for you to be an example. Let them see a life of faith in action.

I hope you will become actively involved in encouraging those around you to grow spiritually.

“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.” Hebrews 3:13

Prayer: Heavenly Father, keep my faith in You strong so I can use it to help my friends’ faith grow. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
