Walking with God

Bible Reading: Genesis 6:9-22

Genesis 6:9 says, "This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.”

Don’t you like the sound of that last phrase, "he walked with God"?

Noah walked with God.

Wouldn’t you like to see your name at the beginning of that sentence? Wouldn’t that sound great? Is there any way that your name could be inserted in that sentence?

There sure is. All you have to do is what Noah did. And just what exactly did Noah do to earn him this special walking partner? "Noah did everything just as God commanded him" (Genesis 9:22). Noah obeyed God. Noah lived a lifestyle of consistently, regularly, moment by moment obedience to God. It was (and is) as simple as that. Obey God; do what He tells you to do, and you, too, can walk with God.

“If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands,...I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.” Leviticus 26:3 & 12

Prayer: Heavenly Father, take my hand and let’s walk together. In Jesus' name. Amen.
