Bible Reading: John 5:24-26
“Final answer?”
That was a common question in a popular game show.
Verse 24 of today’s Bible reading says, “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.” This statement makes it clear that we are all faced with a choice: eternal life or eternal death.
God has asked each one of us a question: Will you choose to die and live for eternity without Jesus and separated from God or if will you choose to welcome Jesus into your life and live forever in heaven with God?
Each one of us must give an answer. When our life here on earth is done, our choice will be made. We will have given our, “Final answer,” and, just like on that well known television show once your “Final answer” is given, there is no going back, no changing your mind. A “Final answer” is just that –FINAL.
Your time isn’t up yet, however. You still have time to choose your answer. Will you choose to live forever with God or will you choose to live forever away from God? What will your “Final answer” be?
“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,…But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15
Prayer: Heavenly Father, here’s my final answer: I want Jesus and eternal life with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
