Real Faith

Bible Reading: Habbakkuk 2:4

Habakkuk 2:4b says, “...the righteous will live by his faith.” What is faith? Faith is a strong conviction or belief. Faith, a strong conviction or belief that God is the One True

God, Jesus is God’s One and Only Son who died for our sins on the cross, and the Holy Spirit is God’s gift to us to give us comfort, courage, and strength and to teach us God’s ways, is the foundation of our lives.

Faith in God should be lived consistently. In other words, Christians shouldn’t trust God on Sunday and then forget God the rest of the week and rely on their own strength and abilities.

Faith should never be hidden. Every Christians’ faith should be visible for all to see. Other people should be able to look at us and know that we are different.

Faith should be genuine, unchanging, and real. Christians should be up front about our faith in God. We should never being afraid to tell people about why we have faith in God.

Faith in God should be like brushing our teeth – it should be a normal part of every Christian’s daily routine.

Faith in God should be like the color of our eyes or the shape of our face – it should be part of what other people see when they look at us.

Faith in God should be like our thoughts or our likes and dislikes -- an integral part of who we are.

It should be impossible for people to think about us without thinking about our faith in God. It should be impossible for people to talk about us without talking about our faith in God. It should be impossible for people to see us without seeing God.

Is your faith that real?

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to have a real, visible faith in You that everyone can see. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
