Bible Reading: 1 John 2:25
Have you ever thought about “lifetime guarantees”?
They sound good but, how long do they really last?
If a life-time guarantee is meant to last for your lifetime and you die tomorrow, the guarantee didn’t last long enough to benefit whomever inherits the item from you, even if the product was brand new.
If the life-time guarantee is meant to last for the lifetime of the product, who decides when the product is “dead” and the guarantee has expired?
If the life-time guarantee is meant to last for the lifetime of the manufacturer of the product, what happens if you buy something today and the manufacturer goes out of business tomorrow?
The only one who can offer us a genuine lifetime guarantee that is truly valuable beyond measure is God. 1 John 2:25 says, “And this is what he promised us-even eternal life.” God’s guarantee of forgiveness and eternal life in heaven lasts for God’s lifetime – eternity – FOREVER!
We don’t even have to buy anything to get God’s lifetime guarantee. We simply have to admit to God that we’ve messed up and done wrong, then tell him that we’re sorry.
He’ll give us his forgiveness and a home in heaven complete with God’s exclusive, eternal lifetime guarantee.
“Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness – a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time.” Titus 1:1 & 2
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’m sold! Give me your guaranteed forgiveness and eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
