Bible Reading: Matthew 6:25-34
Worry. Fret. Anxiety. Frustration. Jesus knew that these emotions are useless and harmful to our mental, physical, and spiritual health. In Matthew 6:31a Jesus said, “So, do

not worry.”
That sounds easy enough…so why is it so hard to do? How can we get rid of those useless feelings?
The Bible gives us many things we can do to purge our lives of worry. Here are a few:
* Give your life to God (Psalm 37:5).
* Give your troubles to God (Psalm 55:22).
* Let God have control of your life and your troubles (Proverbs 16:3).
* Trust God completely (Jeremiah 17:7, 8).
* Aim to do everything that you do God’s way (Luke 12:31).
* Thank God for everything, even trouble (Philippians 4:6, 7).
* Be satisfied with they way your life is right now (Hebrews 13:5).
* Remember – God does care (I Peter 5:6, 7).
I hope you will look up all of these verses in your Bible and learn more about how to rid your life of worry. (If you don’t have a Bible, go www.biblegateway.com. They have many online versions of the Bible that you may use for free!)
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I have a problem and I don’t want to have to worry. Please help me with my problem and do my worrying for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
