Bible Reading: John 3:18
God won’t really send us to hell forever –will he?
John 3:18 says, “Whoever believes in him [Jesus] is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands
condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.” When God sent Jesus to be punished for our sin by dying in our place, His plan was to rescue us from the punishment of death and hell. If we believe that Jesus died for us, we are not and will not be condemned or sent to hell.
If we refuse to believe that Jesus died for us, we condemn ourselves to death and hell. God leaves the choice to us – to you and me. We have two choices:
* Believe in Jesus. Accept what He did for us. Ask forgiveness for our sins and live forever in heaven with God.
* Reject Jesus. Ignore what He did for us and die forever in hell away from God.
It’s up to you. Remember, if you choose to wait until later to accept Jesus that is the same as choosing to reject Him now. As of today, which choice have you made?
IT’S NOT TOO LATE!
If you have chosen up until now to reject Jesus, you can now choose to accept him. He’s waiting for you. Won’t you choose life with Jesus today?
“This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” Deuteronomy 30:19 & 20
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity to choose Jesus, forgiveness, and eternal life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
