As I continue my year focused on God's sufficiency, I had to pause to recognize and rejoice over God's sufficiency not just to save me from my sins, but to seal me for all eternity.
2 Corinthians 1:21 & 22 became the focal point for this time of worship and thanksgiving: "Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."
God has promised that my salvation and my place at the foot of His throne in heaven is secure. How can this be? It is God's promise, His guarantee, because He is sufficient to keep me safe in His arms for all eternity! Praise the Lord God Almighty!
