Today's Digi-Journal entry was inspired by 1 Corinthians 1:25 which says, "For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than
human strength."
That means that even the wisest, smartest of people can't compare to God. Even the most foolish thought that God could possibly think is far wiser than the most wise thought of humankind.
Later in 1 Corinthians, verses 26-30, we read, "Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption."
The truth is, that God loves us, period. God wants to use us to do His work here on earth. God's wisdom is sufficient and He will share His wisdom with us if we simply, "ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you" (James 1:5).
The brains I chose to use to illustrate God's foolishness and man's wisdom were inspired by an old anti-drug commercial.
Thank God for His great foolishness and wisdom!
