My poetic mood goes on!
Last night I sat down and wrote another poem. This one even go illustrated. This poem is a reflection on and inspired by 1 John 2:1 which says, "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if
anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One." Jesus is there for us. He goes to bat for us. When we fail to fully obey God, Jesus takes the heat. His blood, shed on the cross, covers all our sin. Because of His sacrifice, Jesus declares us innocent of all wrongdoing. Our imperfection becomes perfection. Our dirtiness becomes spotless. Our failures are forgotten, erased, gone forever...not because of anything we have done...not because we deserve it...not because we've earned it...but because Jesus, died for us and is, even now defending us, our champion, a crusador on our behalf before the Almighty God, declaring us innocent. Praise the Lord! Will You praise God with me for Jesus, our Advocate?
