Today’s Digi-Doodle, “Trees,” is a reminder of the tree that brought sin into the world and the tree that brought salvation from sin and new life.
God created a perfect, sinless world for us to enjoy living in. A world that was the perfect environment for uninhibited worship and joy.
Then sin entered the world – at the foot of a fruit tree. Our perfect world was forever changed! It was no longer perfect. We no longer had the privilege and honor of walking with God and worshipping Him without inhibition.
Later, Jesus came to earth. He made a way to remove our sin. His death – on another tree (the cross) – made a way for us to, once again worship God freely and joyfully.
Now, it’s up to us, each of us individually. We must decide whether or not to lay our sins, our failures, our disobedience to God, at the foot of the tree. If we choose to do that, if we choose to confess our sins, failures, and disobedience to God and claim Jesus’ death on that tree as the punishment for our sins, we can and will be forgiven. We will, one day, be with God and will, once again, have the right to access a third tree, the Tree of Life, and live eternally with God, forever worshipping Him with joyful hearts!
