Poetry & Prose: Always by Kristian Stanfill

There are times when I struggle. There are times when I’m afraid, even when I know I shouldn’t be afraid.

At these times, I cling to God, God’s strength, & God’s promises. I pray. I read my Bible, especially rereading verses that reassure me of God’s promise to be with me and verses about God’s great power and strength.

Recently, during a time of struggle, God gave me a song. I discovered this song, “Always” by Kristian Stanfill, while praying and listening to the Praise & Worship channel on Pandora Radio. This song filled me with fresh hope and renewed my strength. Therefore, I want to share it with you today. You can read the lyrics below or watch the YouTube video here. I hope it blesses and strengthens you as it did me! Enjoy!

“My foes are many, they rise against me But I will hold my ground I will not fear the war, I will not fear the storm My help is on the way, my help is on the way

Oh, my God, He will not delay My refuge and strength always I will not fear, His promise is true My God will come through always, always

Troubles surround me, chaos abounding My soul will rest in You I will not fear the war, I will not fear the storm My help is on the way, my help is on the way

Oh, my God, He will not delay My refuge and strength always I will not fear, His promise is true My God will come through always, always

I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord From You Lord, from You Lord

Oh, my God, He will not delay My refuge and strength always I will not fear, His promise is true My God will come through always, always

Oh, my God, He will not delay My refuge and strength always, always”
