Bible Reading: Romans 1:20
Do you have a friend who doubts that God is real? Is that friend an, “I have to see it to believe it,” type?
Have that friend take a deep breath then blow it out.
Ask your friend what he or she saw.
Of course your friend will say that they didn’t see anything because you can’t see air – it’s invisible.
Ask your friend, “If you can’t see air, how do you know it’s real?”
Your friend will probably say that he or she can feel and see his chest expanding or that he can see leaves moving or feel the air on his face when he’s outside on a windy day.
Point out to your friend that he believes the air is real because he sees what the air does.
Tell your friend that you believe the words of Paul in Romans 1:20 which says, “For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” Then tell your friend that is why you are so certain that God is real – you can see the results of God’s handiwork all over, in nature and in the changed lives of the people who have asked to forgive them and take over their lives.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalm 19:1
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for all the wonders in creation that prove You are real! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
