Bible Reading: Ephesians 2:8, 9
Do you think because you are a member of a church, you are sure to go to heaven?
Sadly, being a church member won’t get you into heaven. As a matter of fact, nothing that you can
do will get you into heaven. Not even saying that you believe in God.
Ephesians 2:8 & 9 say, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.” That means that the only way to guarantee that you will go to heaven is to truly believe deep in your heart that Jesus died on the cross as payment for your sins and ask his forgiveness for your sins.
Why not stop being just a member of a church and start being a member of God’s family? Ask Jesus into your life today.
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive me. Send Jesus to live in my heart. I want to know that I’m going to heaven someday. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
