Gideons is an organization that is familiar to most Christians. Since July 1, 1899, the professional and business men who make up the Gideons, along with their wives (Gideons Auxiliary), have been
committed to distributing Bibles and New Testaments worldwide.
To accomplish this goal, the Gideons place Bibles is hotels, motels, prisons, schools, hospitals, convalescent homes, medical offices, and domestic violence shelters. They give New Testaments to deploying military personnel, police, and firefighters. Gideons also conduct Scripture Blitzes in cities and countries around the world where they give New Testaments to individuals.
If you would like to help the Gideons ministry, you can make a donation either in your own name or on behalf of another person via the Gideons’ Card Ministry. If you choose to donate to the Gideons, being totally confident that 100% of the money you give will go to printing Bibles for distribution. All of the travel expenses and other costs involved in getting the Bibles and New Testaments around the world and into people’s hands are paid by the Gideons’ members who take the money out of their own pockets.
