Bible Reading: 2 Thessalonians 5:17
Verse 17 of today’s Bible reading says, “Pray continually.”
Maybe you’re thinking, “Why should I pray? Give me one good reason why I should pray.”
I’ll give you 10 good reasons why we should pray.
1. Prayer is our means of intimately worshiping & praising God.
2. Prayer is how we talk to God & how He talks to us. God wants us to pray.
3. Prayer is a Christian’s spiritual life blood.
4. Prayer helps Christians grow spiritually.
5. Prayer is how we learn God's will – His plan for our lives.
6. Prayer allows us to reach out to God.
7. Prayer allows God to come near to us.
8. Prayer is one way to show people that we love and care about them.
9. Prayer allows us to participate God's plan.
10. Prayer is God’s gift to us. We pray because we can.
For the next few days we will talk about each of these reasons in a bit more detail.
