God's Voice (4) Aaron

Bible Reading: Exodus 6:28-7:3

In my last post, we talked about how God chose Moses to be His voice before the Pharaoh & the Israelite people. We said that Moses believed he was a poor speaker. God chose to give Moses a

helper, another person to work with him as God’s voice.

This person was Aaron, Moses’ brother. In Exodus 7:1 & 2 God told Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet. You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country.”

Moses was capable of being God’s voice, but he was timid, nervous, and afraid to do the job alone. God gave Moses the reassurance he needed. With Aaron at his side and God on his side, Moses became a powerful voice for God.

God will give you help. You don’t have to be God’s voice or do God’s work alone. Tell God about your doubts and fears. Ask God to give you someone to help do the work He has given you to do. That way you can be God’s voice together.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work.” Ecclesiastes 4:9

Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me friends and co-workers to work with me. Let us be Your voice together. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
