God's Unfailing Love (2)

Bible Reading: Psalm 118:1-4

Yesterday, we began celebrating God's unfailing love. We talked about how God's unfailing love is active in the lives of all who have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

God's promise that His love will last forever is recorded many times in the book of Psalms, including in verse 1 of our Bible reading. This verse says, "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever."

God wants us to go beyond knowing about His unfailing love in our minds. He wants us to experience His unfailing love in our everyday lives.

God's unfailing love is available no matter what we've done. The only thing that can keep us from experiencing God's unfailing love is sin in our lives. To claim God's unfailing love and allow it to be active in our lives, we must reach out to God and ask Him to forgive our sin. We must believe that Jesus died because of our sin. We must accept the punishment Jesus endured as the punishment we should have had because we sinned. Then God will pour out His unfailing love into our lives.

Have you asked God to forgive your sin? If not, please do so today. Let God's unfailing love become active in your life.

Maybe you have already given Jesus control of our life, but you've slipped away from God's love. Go to God again. He will forgive you all over again. Then His unfailing love will be revived and you will begin, once again, to experience it in your life.

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 118:29

Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive my sin. I want to experience Your unfailing love's activity in my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.
