Bible Reading: Isaiah 40:28-31 & Matthew 11:28 (ERV)
I don't know about you, but I get tired. As a Christian woman, I'm busy. I have a home and family to take care of. I work at our church, so I have church work to do. I write for deaf missions and other places, so I have my God-given ministry to attend to. I enjoy all of those jobs, but they do tire me.
Verse 29 in today's Bible reading says, "The Lord helps tired people be strong. He gives power to those without it."
God has given me many gifts. One of these gifts is His strength. My human strength is limited, but God's strength is limitless. When my strength fails me, God's strength endures and keeps me going.
In Matthew 11:28, Jesus has also promised to give me rest.
Strength to keep going. Rest to refresh me. For a busy woman these are wonderful gifts!
I pray that you have given your life to Jesus Christ. If so, He has promised to give you these gifts, too.
"Come to me all of you who are tired from the heavy burden you have been forced to carry. I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for strength to go on and for rest to refresh. In Jesus' name. Amen.
