Peace (2)

Bible Reading: Philippians 4:4-7

Today we will continue talking about peace. This time we will "spell" peace using lessons from the Bible. Let's start with "P."

Isaiah 26:3 says God's peace is perfect. 1 Kings 2:23 says God's peace is everlasting. Psalm 72:7 says God's peace is abundant. God gave us His covenant (or promise) of peace in Isaiah 54:10. Psalm 37:37 says God's peace is excellent.

Wow! god is so good! Jesus' promise in John 14:27 to give us peace is amazing!

How can you have this peace?

Admit you've done things that make God unhappy (sinned).

Ask God to forgive you.

Accept Jesus' death as the punishment for your sins.

Allow God's Holy Spirit to come to live in your heart. When you do, God will fill you with His peace that passes all understanding.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).

"'Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,' says the Lord, who has compassion on you." Isaiah 54:10

Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive my sins. I accept Jesus and want Your Spirit in my life and Your peace in my heart. In Jesus' name. Amen.
