Bible Reading: Romans 8:38 & 39
Fly paper is a sticky strip used to catch flies. Once a fly is stuck on the fly paper, it is impossible to separate the fly from the fly paper without doing damage to the fly.
Our relationship with God is a lot like the relationship between the fly and the fly paper. Once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and have His Holy Spirit living in our hearts, we are stuck to Him. Nothing can separate us from God and His love, just as it says in our Bible reading: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." We are forever God's and He is forever ours. What a wonderful feeling of security and assurance this promise give us!
I hope you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and are stuck to God like a fly stuck to fly paper!
