Imagination

Bible Reading: Genesis 1:26-27

God has an imagination. There are two facts that prove that point.

First, look at all of the amazing, interesting things that God created.

Second, look at God's creative solutions to problems: dividing the Red Sea to make a dry path for the Israelites to walk across, causing water to come from a rock to give His people something to drink, allowing Peter to catch a fish with a coin in it's mouth so Peter and Jesus would have money to pay their taxes.

Verse 27 of today's Bible reading says, "God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." That means God created men and women to reflect God's person and personality. God created us to be like Him.

God is love, so we are to be love. God is strong, so we are to be strong. God is patient, so we are to be patient. God has an imagination, so we have an imagination, too.

It's not enough to have an imagination like God, we are to use our imagination. We are to look for creative, imaginative ways to share our faith in Jesus with other people and to show God's love to them.

How will you use your imagination to serve God today?

“ So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image." 2 Corinthians 3:18

Prayer: God, thank You for making me to be like you. Help me to become more like you every day and help me to use my imagination to find creative ways to serve you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
