Bible Reading: Luke 15:7
God wants us to admit our sin to Him and ask His forgiveness, but does He ever get tired of having us seek His forgiveness over and over again?
On the contrary, God never tires of having us ask His forgiveness. In fact, IN Luke 15:7 Jesus, Himself said, “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” God is never annoyed, never irritated, never embarrassed. He’s not even surprised that we need to ask His forgiveness so often. In fact, He looks forward to it. It thrills God and fills Him with joy when we admit our imperfection and ask His forgiveness. It shows Him that we know that the only perfect one is God, Himself.
Are you still hanging on to your sin, afraid to talk to God about it?
Make God’s day – tell Him you are sorry and ask His forgiveness right now.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I failed You again. I know that I’m not perfect, but I also know that You are perfect. Please forgive me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
