What Should I Do with My Life?

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 12:24

Are you trying to figure out what to do with your life?

There are so many career choices. It can be mind-boggling.

As Christians, we can sometimes feel pangs of guilt if we aren’t thinking about becoming a minister, missionary, Christian schoolteacher, or Christian musician. However, that shouldn’t be the case.

1 Samuel 12:24 tells us to “But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.” Whatever career we choose – from homemaker to healthcare professional, pickle-picker to president or anywhere in between – We should do it faithfully and with our whole heart. When we do, God can and will use us to fulfill His plan.

We can be witnesses for God, share His love and His plan of salvation, show kindness through all of our actions everyday in whatever place or position God has placed us.

Prayerfully consider your options. Keep in mind your skills, talents, likes, and dislikes then choose the career that you sincerely believe God wants you to pursue. He’ll bless you and use you wherever you are, if you let Him.

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10

Prayer: Heavenly Father, show me where You want me to serve You. I’ll happily obey and serve You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
